On March 31, 2012 we held our 43rd Annual Awards Party at The Hyatt Regency. The theme for the night was “Old Hollywood Glamour” and all of our professionals came out to celebrate another year of exceptional work!

Emcees Angela An and Karina Nova, morning TV personalities on 10tv, took the stage to help us honor the hard work of our professionals.  (Check out how great they both looked!)

It’s time to leave the winter blues behind and spring into spring! We have provided you with 10 services offered at all of our salons that are sure to leave you feeling rejuvenated, refreshed and ready for the new season! Some of these services are tried-and-true, while others are brand new!

1: Haircut & Color-

Change is good. Bring in the spring with a new cut, color and/or style. Bobs with shattered layers toward the bottom are the hot trend for spring this year- a change from the previous round bob trend.

The big come back is blunt bangs. Whether your hair is short or long, bangs are a trendy way to spruce up your cut.

As far as color this spring, the trend is to keep it YOU but make a change. If you have all-over color, add some highlights or go a shade darker. If you already have highlights, try adding in a color to enhance what you already have.

2: Style-

The fishtail braid is definitely the season’s most popular hairstyle. Celebrities such as Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and Angela Simmons have all been seen rocking this fabulous do. The reason why it works is because the braid isn’t too tight against the head, making it look soft and elegant. Some other styles to try are double knots, top knots, french twists and french braids!

Nearly 100 area high school girls joined us for our first-ever in-salon prom event!
Guests mingled with our professionals and enjoyed hair, makeup and nail demonstrations and hand massages (not to mention some pretty fabulous desserts and mocktails!)

Gently-worn prom dresses and accessories were collected at the event for Fairy Goodmothers, a non-profit organization that provides the gift of a prom dress to any high school girl who lacks the means with which to acquire her own.

The event served as a kick-off to our Prom Promotion, which offers a free makeup application if you schedule upstyle services for yourself and two friends. That's up to a $66 value - all for FREE!
